Julie & Terry Marsh (Wiltshire)
A Tribute to Pippins Chocolates
During July, 2005 we lost our lovely chocolate Labrador Daisey. William, our lovely Black Labrador had never had to stay on his own (apart from the odd day and night due to vet visits etc). So, we had to make the decision whether or not to get another new dog and what breed.
We are complete Labrador fans so the choice of dog was easy. After a long and hard search of the web, speaking to the Kennel Club and making enquiries, we were given the name and telephone number of Pippins Chocolates. Spoke to Nic and travelled down to Devon on Saturday 9th July.
We were confronted with 5 chocolate puppy dogs (as Sasha was the only female) well how do you choose? We spent a rather large amount of time playing and sitting with the puppies trying to decide which one was for us. There was no pressure from Nic and Sandra just care and attention.
Nic and Sandra explained everything about Bonnie and Storm to us. What Nic and Sandra didn’t tell us wouldn’t have been worth knowing anyway.
We eventually made our decision on Marley (or now known as The Monster).
Nic and Sandra wanted to know about our experience with Labradors just so they were happy that one of the pups was going to an experienced home. On 30th July, 2005 we travelled back down to Devon and took ownership of Marley.
Marley travelled to our home very well, purely because his first experience of life had been a good one.
Choosing and buying a puppy from Pippins Chocolates is an experience well worth having. The puppies are bred in a loving home environment. The puppies are happy and content. The mother is loved and very well cared for. Forget the puppy machine environment, forget the cages, forget ‘I’m in it for the money, this is a place where puppies are wanted and adored and basically in our opinion, Pippins Chocolates are complete and utter “chocoholics”.
We would thoroughly recommend choosing a puppy from Pippins Chocolates and when the time comes for us, hopefully will do so.
Good luck with the next litter.
